Abstract
Enthalpies of mixing, measured at 298.15 K in a now microcalorimeter, are reported for the addition of ethanol to some aqueous solutions of sodium chloride and of zinc chloride in the range 1-2 m. Excess molar enthalpies of the corresponding ternary mixtures C2H5OH (1) + H2O (2) + NaCl (3) or ZnCl2 (3) are estimated from the results.
