Abstract
We analysed the response of two grass species, Danthonia montevidensis and Paspalum dilatatum to waterlogging, soil-nutrient enrichment and the combination of both factors. Waterlogging did not affect total bio mass of D. montevidensis, but it slightly promoted growth of P. dilata tum. Most analysed variables showed no significant interaction between fertilization and waterlogging. Therefore, waterlogging does not prod uce a detrimental effect either in the growth of these species or in t heir response capacity to stimulating growth factors, such as fertiliz ation.
