Abstract
Spatially resolved spectroscopic measurements of carbon impurity ion l ine brightness profiles in ergodic divertor (ED) Tore Supra tokamak pl asmas have shown modulations in the poloidal electron temperature and density in the peripheral ED layer. These effects have been qualitativ ely reproduced by using a field line tracing code.
