SEASONAL DYNAMICS OF SCIOMYZIDS (SCIOMYZIDAE, DIPTERA)

Studies of sciomyzids fauna have been undertaken in four different Slo vakia localities. During the April - October vegetation period of 1992 , 775 individuals of 32 species have been collected using Malaise trap s. Species composition, seasonal dynamics and some sciomyzids communit ies coenological indices have been investigated. In addition, an inves tigation of eudominants and rare species has been carried out. Ectinoc era borealis and Pteromicra oldenbergi were found to be new in the fau na of Slovakia. Voltinity opinions about Ectinocera borealis, Pelidnop tera leptiformis and Pherbellia pallidiventris also presented as part of the study.
