Abstract
Skeletal and cardiac striated muscle from two species of fish and turt les were incubated for the cytochemical detection of trimetaphosphatas e (TMPase) activity. The results showed that striated muscle from thes e animals has TMPase-positive structures, which are presumed to be lys osomes.
