Abstract
The study of attitudes of faculty at a major eastern public research u niversity indicated that faculty perceived male revenue and nonrevenue athletes negatively in situations dealing with academic competence, s pecial services, and recognition. This implications of these findings should be discussed among student-athletes, faculty, advisors, and stu dent affairs staff.
