INTRODUCTION OF A H-3 LABEL INTO THE METHYL AND METHYLENE POSITIONS OF POLYAMINES AND SODIUM-ACETATE BY SOLID-STATE ISOTOPE-EXCHANGE

The mechanisms of adding a H-3 label to methyl and methylene positions of organic compounds are investigated. Labeled compounds with a high molar radioactivity can be prepared using a solid-state method. Extens ive deamination and condensation of the starting compounds is observed during addition of H-3 to ethylenediamine and its derivatives.
