Abstract
A technique for plasma probing with a beam of heavy ions in stellarato r-type devices is described. The trajectories are calculated and the f orm and size of the studied region are determined. The main parameters of the probing beams are found. An experimental arrangement based on the existing equipment is proposed for the diagnostic complex.
