The diagnostic apparatus used for measurement of plasma parameters in
a gasodynamical confinement system with atomic beam injection is descr
ibed. The used diagnostics made it possible to find the local energy b
alance (along a given field line) of the background plasma and the fas
t ion fraction, For the regimes with MHD-stable energy confinement, it
was shown that the main energy losses from the plasma bulk are due to
the particle flow through the end mirrors.
