The construction, operation principle, and parameters of multichannel
scanning energy analyzer of charge exchange atoms are discussed. The a
nalyzer is used to measure the splashing ion angular distribution and
energy spectra, the ions being produced in a gas dynamic plasma trap (
GDCS) during the injection of powerful atomic hydrogen beam into preli
minary produced plasma with density n similar or equal to 5 x 10(13) c
m(-3) [1,2]. The parameters of the hydrogen beam are as follows: parti
cle energy - 50 keV, equivalent current - 250 A, pulse duration - 1 ms
. The device can be also used for measurements of energy spectra of at
omic and charged particle beams in plasma diagnostics, beam physics, a
nd physics of atomic collisions.
