We describe the high-resolution spectra of FG Sagittae obtained in 199
4 during the current episode of the star's activity. The abundances of
iron-peak and s-process elements have not changed compared to those o
f the previous decade. The presence of carbon molecular bands is confi
rmed and the carbon to oxygen abundance ratio is estimated to be C/O =
4.5. It is the first time the spectrum of FG Sge shows P Cygni like p
rofiles of sodium D lines. From absorption components of these lines w
e estimate the mass loss rate, M = 3 . 10(-7)M. yr(-1). From fast chan
ges of emission intensity we conclude that FG Sge ejected a shell in J
uly, 1994. These findings support the R CrB type model of FG Sge.
