Abstract
The effects of the sintering periods and the pressures before sinterin g on the critical current density (J(c)) and the critical transition t emperature (T-c) of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O (Bi-based) superconducting ceramics are investigated. J(c) and T-c of the samples increase with the sinter ing periods. The increase of J(c) is caused by that of T-c. J(c) of th e samples also increases with the pressures before sintering. This may be caused by high physical density and small size grains.
