Abstract
A new 8.2-kDa protein factor was isolated from cell culture of a promy elocyte leukemic HL-60 cell line that exhibited a differentiation-indu cing effect upon the initial cell line. The primary structure of this factor was determined by sequencing the protein (N-terminal region) an d the corresponding cDNA. A molecule of the differentiation factor sec reted by HL-60 cells consisted of 54 amino acid residues and was glyco silated.
