Bj. Hill et al., WEAVING OF 3-DIMENSIONAL FABRICS FOR PREFORM CONSTRUCTION .2. USE OF FLAT CONTINUOUS GLASS FILAMENT YARN, J TEXTILE I, 86(1), 1995, pp. 104-109
This paper considers the weaving of integrated multi-layer performs by
using a continuous filament glass yarn. It employs the same method, a
s described in Part I of this paper, to compare the engineering perfor
mance of the T-sections against the proportion of through-the-thicknes
s reinforcement. It concludes that the amount and construction of the
Z-constituent have a significant influence on the performance of the p
reform but that the deductions made from the results of the research o
n texturised yarns could not be transferred to this continuous filamen
t yarn.
