COPOLYMERS BASED ON STYRENE AND DIVINYLBENZENE SYNTHESIZED IN THE PRESENCE OF DEHPA-II EVALUATION

The effect of a selective organophosphorus extractant on the structure and properties of styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers was studied. The extractant, added to the polymerization mixture, affected the copolyme r morphology. The influence of DEHPA's content on the adsorption proce ss with respect to mixtures of Neodymium (III) and Praseodymium (III) was studied. The use of scanning electron microscopy showed that the p olymers are macroporous and that the porosity was directly dependent o n the DEHPA's amount.
