Me. Hart et J. Settle, NURSING AND PSYCHOSOCIAL ISSUES IN THE CARE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WITH HIV AIDS, Immunology and allergy clinics of North America, 15(2), 1995, pp. 421-427
The provision of care for HN-infected children raises both medical and
psychosocial issues. Pediatric HIV infection is an illness that affec
ts both the child and the child's family. Multiple family members also
may be infected and in need of health care and support services. The
authors conclude that health care providers must do anything and every
thing to alleviate the pain and suffering associated with this disease
.
