Samples of polypropylene were examined, which were prepared by repreci
pitation of the polymer from good (heptadecane) and poor (chlorobenzen
e) solvents, subsequent evaporation of the traces of solvent, and reme
lting in inert atmosphere. It was found that for the samples compared,
the density of polymer, its crystallinity, and solubility parameters
for low-molecular-mass compounds differed markedly. The critical conce
ntrations of the antioxidating agent phenyl-beta-naphthylamine during
the oxidation of these samples in melt differed by 1.9 times. The theo
ry that explains the reported phenomena is suggested.
