DOSICARD - ON-SITE EVALUATION OF A NEW INDIVIDUAL DOSIMETRY SYSTEM

Dosicard is a new individual dosimetry system developed to monitor per sonnel working in the following fields: civil and military nuclear app lications, medical environments and research centres: it can also be u sed to monitor mobile personnel. The system is based on the use of a c redit-card sized format electronic badge. The associated computer envi ronment enables management of the dosimetric data acquired. The charac teristics of the system are presented in this paper together with an e valuation of the results of six month's use in a nuclear research cent re.
