Abstract
The dispersion characteristics of open, asymmetrical planar structures may be obtained through the iterative solution of an eigenvalue equat ion in the spectral domain. During each iteration, a number of terms n eed to be calculated by means of numerical integration over an infinit e range. In this article techniques for the treatment of slow-convergi ng integrals are described. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
