Abstract
A case of metastatic medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) to the liver of a patient with multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) Type rib was sugges ted by percutaneous fine-needle aspiration cytology and confirmed by h istology and immunohistochemistry. The cytologic presentation of this unusual thyroid cancer in liver has not been previously reported. We r eport such a case and discuss its differential diagnosis from other me tastatic tumors of the liver. (C) 1994 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
