Abstract
Georadar data recorded in a crystalline gneiss of southern Switzerland exhibit two effects that are related to anistropic metamorphic fabric . In the first, signal coherence appears to be better for waves propag ating parallel to the direction of foliation and, in the second, rms v elocities of waves propagating along the foliation are higher than for waves propagating at a high angle to foliation.
