Abstract
Notice,Digital Spectral Transformation (DST) has been used to approxim ate the magnitude response specifications of circular, elliptic and fa n shaped filters, In this paper, it is shown that when the DST propose d by Ham and Shenoi is applied to the 1-D lowpass prototype filters wi th Linear phase characteristics to realize 2-D IIR filters, it preserv es both magnitude and phase characteristics in the w(1)w(2) plane, Sev eral attractive features of using this approach are discussed and simu lation results are provided to illustrate its performance.
