15 mono-unsaturated acetates were tested by electro-antennography (EAG
) on the male antennae of 33 moth species. EAG-active acetates were fo
und for 14 of the 22 species for which there was no hithertoo informat
ion about sex pheromone (sex attractant) active compounds or modifiers
. For most of the species with known sex pheromones (sex attractants)
or modifiers, a correlation is shown between field and EAG results.
