Abstract
Temperature-dependent H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra of the title compounds are presented, The coalescence effects in the spectra are discussed an d assigned to the racemization of the C-2 symmetry conformation of the nine-membered ring. The barrier of this process is cn. 64 kJ mol(-1). A spirocyclohexane derivative revealed a second conformational proces s namely inversion of the six-membered ring.
