Y. Koyama et al., QUASI-PARTICLE TRANSPORT AT THE INTERFACE BETWEEN THE NORMAL CONDUCTOR AND THE D-WAVE SUPERCONDUCTOR, Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 64(2), 1995, pp. 565-571
We modify the Blender, Tinkham and Klapwijk theory to calculate the di
fferential conductance of the interface between the normal conductor a
nd the d-wave superconductor at zero temperature. The differential con
ductance is calculated as a function of the bias voltage in the absenc
e or presence of the barrier potential at the interface. It is shown t
hat the behavior of the conductance in the case of the d-wave symmetry
is quite different from that in the case of the s-wave symmetry. Thus
the information of the symmetry for the Cooper pair should be obtaine
d from the quasiparticle transport phenomena at the normal-superconduc
ting microconstriction.
