The crystal structure of [bis(triphenyltin) succinate.2quinoline N-oxi
de].2[bis(triphenyltin) succinate], C138H116N2O14Sn6, (C2/c, a = 23.32
0(3) Angstrom, b = 12.007(1) Angstrom, c = 42.711(8) Angstrom, beta =
92.285(8)degrees) consists of a hexanuclear molecule whose bis(triphen
yltin) succinate.2quinoline N-oxide (Sn1-O = 2.177(7) Angstrom, Sn1<--
O = 2.345(9) Angstrom) moiety is bridged through its carbonyl atoms to
two symmetry-related bis(triphenyltin) succinate entities. In the bis
(triphenyltin) succinate unit, one tin atom is five-coordinated (Sn2-O
= 2.112(9) Angstrom, Sn2<--O = 2.409(8) Angstrom) in a trigonal bipyr
amidal geometry and the other is four-coordinated (Sn3-O = 2.04(1) Ang
strom) in a tetrahedral geometry.
