The tribological properties of a hardened steel U8-composite pair in c
ontact in which bronze is used as the matric: and eutectic alloy powde

iller are studied under conditions of reciprocal sliding friction with
out lubrication. Composite and counterbody wear is not uniform and it
depends on the amount of filler within the range 20-80%. A composite w
ith 80% filler has good tribological properties and satisfactory lathe
machining.
