Abstract
The present article describes our experimental approach to study mecha nisms of glucose recovery after acute hypoglycemia induced by high dos es of insulin in rats. Our results showed that the simultaneous admini stration of cortisol (C) + glucagon (G) + isoproterenol (Iso) were mor e effective to promote blood glucose recovery from hypoglycemia than t he sum of the response of both individual infusion and double combinat ion. The perspective of using this new experimental approach in future investigations will be discussed.
