Abstract
A correlation between the growth rate, biomass and mass of ammonia dis solved in the culture medium was observed during the fermentation cour se of Bordetella pertussis, a bacterium responsible for the infectious disease, whooping cough. An inhibition kinetic model is proposed to i nterpret such phenomenon.
