Abstract
The protein, lactose, fat and mineral (Ca, P, Mg, K,Na, Zn, Cy Fe) con centration and density of mare's colostrum of two genetical groups, Ar abian (15) and Arabian - crosses (9), raised on Coast-cross (Cynodon d actylon) pasture, were determined. Besides the genetical group, it was considered the time of colostrum collection: 6h (T-1) and 12h (T-2) p os-partum. Only protein concetration and density varied (P < 0,05) bet ween genetical groups and time of colostrum collection. Except Ca, all minerals were correlated with protein concentration.
