Recurrent ore-genital ulceration is a common condition of unknown aeti
ology. This paper describes a patient who had severe recurrent ore-gen
ital ulceration which was unresponsive to conventional therapy. The pa
tient was taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) prescri
bed for osteoarthritis. When she stopped this medication, she had no f
urther genital ulceration and the pattern of her oral ulceration was d
ramatically improved. There have been no previously reported cases of
recurrent ore-genital ulceration associated with NSAIDs.
