HYPOACTIVE SEXUAL DESIRE

Hypoactive sexual desire is an ubiquitous and challenging disorder tha t is often associated with other psychiatric or medical conditions. Mu ltiple etiologic determinants have been associated with the disorder, and the rote of systemic and interpersonal factors have been emphasize d. Treatment interventions have varied widely, including hormonal, pha rmacologic, and psychological interventions. There is a paucity of con trolled outcome research, and it is uncertain which patients are most likely to benefit from treatment.
