Abstract
A circuit is described to display cross head displacement to a resolut ion of 1 mu m, and to provide a proportional analogue voltage for a ch art recorder. This has applications where strain gauge systems are ina ppropriate or impractical, and also permits recording of displacement versus time, an option otherwise not available.
