Abstract
Synthesis and crystal structure of titled Zn(II) coordination compound , [Zn(NBOCTB)] (NO3)(2) . 3H(2)O, were reported in this paper. The com plex belongs to triclinic system, space group P (1) over bar with a=1. 4146(2), b=1.5407(3), c=1.8518(4)nm; alpha=62.09(2), beta=72.46(2), ga mma=68.60(1)degrees; V=3.2783(9)nm(3), M(r)=1238.68, Z=2, D-x=1.25g/ c m(3), mu=4.43cm(-1), F(000)=1288. Nonisothermal kinetics of thermal de composition of the complex was also studied with Achar method and Coat s-Redfern method by TG and DTG techniques. The kinetic equation for th e first step can be expressed as: d alpha/dt = Ae(-E/RT).(3/2).(1-alph a).[-1n(1-alpha)](1/3), the mechanism is ''Coring and Growth'' (n=1.5) ; while for the second step, d alpha/dt = Ae(-E/RT).(1-alpha)(2), whic h corresponding to the mechanism of ''the second-order chemical reacti on''. The mathematic expressions of the kinetic compensation effedt fo r the two steps are found to be: 1nA=0.3739E-3.321, and 1nA=0.2100E-3. 690, respectively.
