RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE BRAIN-TUMOR SUBCOMMITTEE FOR THE REPORTING OF TRIALS

Since its constitution during the 22nd annual meeting of the Internati onal Society of Pediatric Oncology in Rome in 1990, the Brain Tumor Su bcommittee has worked to arrive at a consensus for reporting criteria that should be adopted when brain tumor trials are presented. This con sensus is presented here concerning minimum requirements for diagnosti c procedures and a systematic approach to define the extent of surgica lly achieved resection by a radiodiagnostic classification aided by th e surgical report as well as response and remission criteria.
