The problem of the flow around a circular cone according to the Ryabus
hinskii scheme by an axially symmetric subsonic compressible fluid is
considered in a non-linear formulation. A numerical-analytical method
is proposed for solving the problem, based on the use of the variables
of a velocity hodograph, and is a development of the method proposed
[1] for calculating the jet efflux from a funnel-shaped vessel. Result
s of a numerical investigation of the cavitating flow around a disc an
d cavitator with a conical channel by an axially symmetric subsonic st
ream of water are presented.
