Abstract
Indirect electroreductive cyclization of eta-bromo-alpha,beta-unsatura ted esters 1 - 6 using Co(lll) or Ni(ll) complex as an electron-transf er catalyst provided the six membered compounds 7 -12, which are usefu l synthetic intermediates of several indole and ipecac alkaloids.
