Abstract
The photoreduction of cytochrome c(3) using ZnTPPS as photosensitizer was investigated and the photoinduced hydrogen evolution with hydrogen ase using cytochrome c(3) as electron carrier was established. The que nching of photoexcited tripler state of ZnTPPS with cytochrome c, was measured and the rate constant was 1.2 x 10(9) M(-1)s(-1)(1M=1 mol dm( -3)).
