Abstract
Nine acyclic polyethers incorporating oxygen, nitrogen and/or sulfur a toms were synthesized, which possess two heterocyclic groups at both e nds of an ether chain, and metal ion extractabilities of these compoun ds were estimated using 1,2- dichloroethane - H2O system. On the solve nt extraction of some transition metal ions as the nitrates, Ag+, Cuand Hg2+ were more effectively extracted with most of the reagents tha n the other metal ions. Addition of picrate ion into the aqueous phase of AgNO3 increased Ag+ extractability remarkably.
