The integral equation leading to the perturbative vacuum singularity (
Lipatov pomeron) intercept in quantum chromodynamics is modified by re
placing the massless gluon propagator by diverse expressions motivated
by the inclusion of non-perturbative effects. It is found that with s
uitable values of the parameters in the modified gluon propagator it i
s possible to obtain a pomeron intercept equal to that of the usual no
n-perturbative one.
