Ao. Dare et al., VERTEBROBASILAR DISSECTION IN A DUPLICATED CERVICAL VERTEBRAL ARTERY - A POSSIBLE PATHOETIOLOGIC ASSOCIATION - A CASE-REPORT, Vascular surgery, 31(1), 1997, pp. 103-108
A thirty-eight-year-old man with extensive spontaneous vertebrobasilar
dissection in association with duplication of the ipsilateral proxima
l vertebral artery is described. He had no relevant medical history. T
he development of a spontaneous arterial dissection in a duplicated ar
terial system suggests a pathoetiologic association that may further e
xpand the list of cerebrovascular pathology occurring with fenestratio
n/duplications.
