Abstract
A thirty-eight-year-old man with extensive spontaneous vertebrobasilar dissection in association with duplication of the ipsilateral proxima l vertebral artery is described. He had no relevant medical history. T he development of a spontaneous arterial dissection in a duplicated ar terial system suggests a pathoetiologic association that may further e xpand the list of cerebrovascular pathology occurring with fenestratio n/duplications.
