He. Jorgensen et al., EVIDENCE FOR SAKHAROV OSCILLATIONS OF INITIAL PERTURBATIONS IN THE ANISOTROPY OF THE COSMIC MICROWAVE BACKGROUND, Astronomy and astrophysics, 294(3), 1995, pp. 639-647
In the framework of the Cold Dark Matter cosmological model we obtain
the explicit analytical expressions for the spectral representation of
the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background and the correspondi
ng analytical expressions for the angular correlation function taking
into account the width of antenna. We discuss the peculiar periodic de
pendence of the initial spectrum of the baryonic matter distribution o
n wavelength (Sakharov oscillations). This effect is specific for acou
stic modes of perturbations in cosmic plasma in any cosmological model
as a result of the recombination. Sakharov oscillations should manife
st themselves by the specific anomalies in the angular correlation fun
ction of the microwave background anisotropy on scales 10' - 2-degrees
, practically in any cosmological model. We discuss special methods fo
r filtering of this effect in the observational data.
