Abstract
The waste slag, waste gas and wastewater of the sulfuric acid plants s eriously pollute the nearby water resources, air quality and surroundi ngs. On the basis of the results of experimental research on making fe rrous sulfate by utilizing the waste iron slag, removing sulfur dioxid e from the waste gas by using an absorption solution containing ferrou s sulfate and purifying the wastewater containing arsenic in high conc entration by using the ferrous sulfate-neutralizing precipitation meth od, the research group has proposed a new method for comprehensive tre atment and utilization of these three wastes in the sulfuric acid plan ts in China.
