Abstract
The synthesis of polysubstituted tetrahydrofurans, in a two-step proce dure from common intermediates, is readily available by the new zinca- cn-allene reaction. This strategy allows the creation of vicinal quate rnary and tertiary centers or of two quaternary centers as unique isom ers.
