m detected by T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging may suggest repla
cement of left ventricular myocytes by fat, and those detected by gado
linium diethylamine-triamine penta-acetic acid enhanced magnetic reson
ance imaging may reflect disrupted myocytes or fibrous tissue.
