Abstract
Professional paper The low alloy Mn-V steel (0,32% C; 1,15% Mn; 0,18% V) produced in Iron Works Sisak is used for production of gas pipes fo r oil industry as wel as the pipes for production of gas bottles. The continuous diagram cooling for low alloy Mn-V steel is designed on the base of recording of 10 dilatometry curves of continuous cooling on w ich austenite transformations in ferrite, pearlite, bainite and marten site are clearly separated. By means of continous cooling curves is gr aphically determined the fraction of individual microstructure which d epends of cooling rate. The continuous diagram of cooling shows at whi ch cooling rate of the products made of low alloy Mn-V steel, the requ ired mechanical properties the suitable microstructures can be obtaine d.
