Abstract
Evidence-based care, using principles of clinical epidemiology, promis es to alter the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal facial pain. With use of a set of ''rules of evidence,'' research studies may be rigoro usly evaluated. Clinicians can master this methodology, which may ushe r in a paradigm shift in clinical care.
