Abstract
Stress Intensity Factors (SIF) are considered for half-plane crack in an anisotropic medium with general elastic anisotropy under crack load ing that is independent of the variable in the direction of the crack front. As is shown, for this problem the stresses on the crack-plane a nd SIF are independent of the elastic properties of the medium. A clos ed formula for the vector-valued SIF which expresses them in terms of a load on the crack surface is obtained.
