G. Blasse et al., LUMINESCENCE OF ZN(4)X AND CD(4)X CLUSTERS (X=S, SE) IN AN ALUMINATE OR BORATE CAGE, Chemical physics letters, 234(1-3), 1995, pp. 177-181
The tetrahedral clusters Zn(4)X(X = O, Se) and Cd(4)X(X = S, Se) show
efficient photoluminescence at room temperature in the sodalites Zn(4)
X(BO2)(6) and Cd(4)X(AlO2)(6), respectively. The lowest absorption ban
d is at higher energy, and the Stokes shift is larger than in other Zn
/Cd chalcogenide clusters.
