Abstract
The problem of estimating the probability of large surges in a second- order nonlinear dynamic system excited by white noise is examined. The results of a numerical experiment ate compared with the calculated da ta. Simple analytical formulas which can be used for solving flight dy namics problems are obtained for a broad class of second-order dynamic systems.
